AHA Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) Courses

(All classes are held in the Education Department Classroom unless stated otherwise.)

Littleton Regional Hospital is an authorized American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center. Participants in all courses offered through the LRH Training Center receive a two year certification for the specific discipline (BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.). The above table contains the scheduled Basic Life Support (BLS) , Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resusitation Program (NRP) courses for healthcare professionals.
Heartsaver CPR/AED courses are offered the first Friday of every month to non-healthcare professionals.
*To register for a BLS, ACLS or PALS renewal certification course, send a message to cflores@littletonhospital.org. and complete the information requested in the message body. You will receive a confirmation of your registeration from the Education Department within one week.
** To register for a first-time certification for either BLS, ACLS or PALS, you will need to take the online Heartcode Part 1 course and may need additional (ECG Interpretation, Cardiac Drugs) courses to prepare for an Advanced Life Support course. These courses are assigned to LRH staff through Healthstream by the Education Department without charge. Non-employees can access these courses for a fee through the Education Department or through the American Heart Association online education site OnlineAHA.org . The following fees apply to non-Employees for all AHA courses:
Online Heartcode BLS Part 1 course plus Parts 2 & 3 (Skills Evaluation) $35.00
Online Heartcode ACLS Part 1 course plus Parts 2 & 3 (Skills Evaluation) $130.00
Online Heartcode PALS Part 1 course plus Parts 2 & 3 (Skills Evaluation) $130.00
To register for any of the Online Heartcode Classes email the Education Department using this link.
*** NRP certification requires completion of the online NRP test within 30 days prior to registering for a Skills Evaluation class. The skills evaluation for this course are conducted on teh OB Unit with two certified instructors. LRH employees can access the course without charge by contacting cflores@littletonhospital.org . Non-employees can access the course and purchase the Textbook of Neonatal Resusitation, 6th Edition for a fee through the Education Department by contacting cflores@littletonhospital.org or access the online course and materials directly through the American Academy of Pediatrics NRP Website. To register for an NRP Skills Evaluation class with a certified instructor contact Tracy McNamara or Ginger Therrien. Be sure to enter the date of the class you would like to attend in the body of the message.
