The State of New Hampshire - Moose Safety and Awareness Task Force launched the newly developed Moose-Wildlife DVD at a reception at Littleton Regional Hospital.
The DVD titled, "Wildlife/Moose Driver Education Video" will be distributed to driver education teachers in New Hampshire as a new tool to help young drivers learn about the dangers of moose and wildlife on our roadways. The video is also available to view online below.
Numerous state agencies, as well as local police departments have assisted in putting together this important learning tool. Littleton Regional Hospital’s Dr. G. Campbell McLaren was instrumental in the development of this moose video. McLaren is an emergency room physician who sees firsthand the physical damage and trauma that can be caused by hitting a moose or wildlife. The video demonstrated many safety tips and steps that new and experienced drivers can take to avoid hitting wildlife, with decreased speed being one of the most important factors.
